1 - Who we are
Blackandwhitehome is a company created in order to satisfy the increasing demand of short-term renting apartments, prioritizing the excellence. It has been created by a team of professionals with wide experience, natives and enthusiastic of the city of Barcelona.
The company was founded with the objective of becoming a referent in the sector and with a clear intention of differentiation. Since its inception the company has worked to strengthen this differential factor through excellence in all stages: name selection, development of logo, slogan, selection of apartments, decoration, equipment, cleaning, check-in and guest service.
All our apartments are operated exclusively by Blackandwhitehome. The company takes care of the whole process holistically: from the selection of buildings to the implementation and monitoring of reforms, design and implementation of decoration and equipment.

3 - Our apartments
Our apartments are located in different neighborhoods of Barcelona, in locations selected for its unquestionable interest, its tranquility and communication with the rest of the city. Ciutat Vella, Gracia, Montjuïc and Poble Nou are neighborhoods that combine an interesting cultural and gastronomic offer with a historical character; and most important, close to the main attracting monuments of the city.
It has placed special emphasis in the reflection of the spirit Blackandwhitehome in all the apartments. Each apartment has its own identity but all are developed under the concept Blackandwhitehome. Neutral and pleasant, clean and fresh colors have been selected in order to make the guest feel at home.
The apartments are fully equipped: cookware, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, sheets, towels, appliances, coffee maker, kettle, hair dryer and cleaning materials. Rental service, when contracting directly through our website, includes a welcome pack.
All apartments have free WIFI par exclusive use of guests. They also have TV and DVD.
4 - Pricing Policy
Prices: The price of the stay includes the VAT (currently the 10%) and preparation cleaning the apartment for your arrival and extra cleaning service for stays longer than a week. Price does not include the city tax of 0.72 € / night / person, it will have to be paid upon arrival.
Payment: At the time of booking the 10% of the total amount can be charge to secure it. The remaining amount must be paid upon arrival. In case of non-refundable fee, the full amount is charged at the time of booking and no place to cancellations.
Blackandwhitehome accepts the following credit cards: VISA / MASTERCARD
Deposit: Upon arrival it will be delivered to the customer our code of conduct and the credit card details will be requested as security in order to cover any damage identified after the guest's departure.
Cancelations: Cancellation and prepayment policies vary over time. For more details, see the conditions that apply to your booking.
- If cancelled or modified less than 7 days before arrival or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- In case of non-refundable fee, the entire stay will be charged at time of booking. This fee does not entitle a refund in case of cancellation, regardless of the advance of it.
5 - Services
Services included in the price
• Cleaning: our cleaning staff will visit your apartment once a week to clean it, and change the towels and sheets.
• WiFi access to Internet: our apartments are equipped with permanent wireless access to Internet.
• Cots and high-chairs for children: are available only under request. Please in case you need it, send us an e-mail in advance in order to reserve it for you. Confirmation will be received within 24 hours.
Additional Services not included in the price
To make your stay even more comfortable, we offer a range of additional services. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org indicating the service you want to contract. The additional services will have to be booked and paid separately.
6 - Check in and check out
Please keep in mind that there is NOT reception in the building. That is why, in order to give time to our check-in team to arrive to the apartment to welcome you, it is strictly necessary that you contact us on your arrival (calling to the following telephone number: +34 607.220.167) and let us know in advance your scheduling.
Check-in: The check ins are from 15:00h. At the appointed hour, a professional from our team of check-in will show you your apartment and give you the information necessary for the operation of all equipment as well as useful information for your stay in Barcelona. A part from that, all the apartments have a user’s manual, with the necessary instructions and the main emergency telephones.
The usual check-in time is between 15h and 21h. If your arriving time is not in these hours we can offer you this service with its respective fee:
Between 21h y 24h -- 30 €
Between 24h y 2h -- 40 €
Between 2h y 8h -- 50 €
Early Check-in: If you would like to check in before 15h, it is upon request. We can only confirm if it is possible or not when you call to our check in team upon your arrival in Barcelona. If we can confirm you the service there is an additional surcharge of 30€ (from 08h to 10h). In the case we cannot confirm you the early check in, there will be several alternatives:
- Rent NO LUGGAGE service, a company dedicated to pick your bags and hand them over at the time and place you request. The first luggage costs 10 € and 3€ each additional luggage. - Leave your luggage in our office and pick up it before your check in. Please remember that your apartment is not located in the same area than the office.
Check-out: our standard time is at 11h. If you want a late check-out it should be under request the day before departure by e-mail or phone and it supposed an additional charge of 50€ till 20h.
Luggage: If you leave the city after 11h we put to your disposal the following services.

7 - Transport
It is easy to move around Barcelona. In addition, our apartments are situated in areas with good public transport connections. In the Location section you can find instructions on how to get from a point of the city to another using different means of transport. In the section How to arrive to the apartment there is an explanation in the best ways to get to the apartment from the main ports of entry to the city.
8 - Security
Our apartments have security doors. For your safety, it is important to close the door to your apartment with double key on departure and upon arrival. Remember to never leave the keys behind the door, this causes locks and therefore should call a locksmith to open the door. This incident comes at a cost.
Losing the apartment keys involves a high cost, so please take care that this does not happen.
Make sure you have your keys before leaving. Blackandwhitehome is not responsible for personal objects left in the apartments.
On the other hand, it is important to prevent outsiders from accessing the building. Therefore please ensure; Access doors to the building are properly closed (keyless) at the exit and at your entrance.
Finally, we advise you take particular care with your belongings: handbags, wallets and camera photo on your visits to areas of large tourist affluence. Barcelona is not a dangerous city but it always pays to be cautious.
9. Code of conduct
Blackandwhitehome trusts in the good behavior of guests and we provide the following guidelines to ensure you have a pleasant stay:
• No pets allowed in our apartments under any circumstances.
• Please note that parties are not permitted in the apartment and loud noise between 22h and 8h is prohibited (loud music, talking loudly, etc.). The rest of neighbors have to be respected, if you arrive to the apartment late at night try to do as less noise as possible, be cautious with doors and try to avoid using the ring. All our apartments are completely rehabilitated with insulating materials that complaint with legal regulations. However, your enjoyment of Barcelona has to be balanced with the respect to your neighbors. Any disturbance to the neighbors or to other guests made by noise, parties, etc. will be penalized with the cost of the deposit and if serious complaints are reported, with the expulsion from the apartment.
• Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. In the case that we detect traces of cigarettes and/or evidence of smoking inside the apartment, management reserves the right to charge €50 to your credit card to cover the cost of reconditioning the apartment.
• It is prohibited to hang towels and/or clothes on the balcony. It is prohibited to take the towels to the beach. If found that the towels have been inappropriately used, the company reserves the right to charge €20 per towel.
• The loss or damage of any item from the apartment will result in a charge for its replacement.
• Please take the rubbish out at the end of your stay. It is prohibited to leave the rubbish in the entrance to the building or in the hallways. Large garbage bins are located in the street very close to the building.
• It is not necessary to clean the apartment the last day of your stay. However, please leave it in good condition. If is left in an unacceptable condition or garbage is left inside, management reserves the right to charge an extra cleaning fee.
• Please remember to turn off the lights and the air-conditioning when you leave the apartment. The use of the services (water, lights and air-conditioning, heating) should be rational and moderate. Abuse of the services could result in an additional charge.
The breach of any of these rules will result in the loss of the security deposit, either partially or completely. If there are complaints from the neighbors, and if they are repeated, BWH reserves the right to evict customers, whatever time it is, without the right to any compensation or reimbursement of any kind.
Our emergency number is available for any unforeseen event or problem that may arise in the apartment during your stay.
Problems / Incidents when the client is NOT responsible: If there is any damage or problem in the apartment, we will try to resolve it as soon as possible. If the customer requires the presence of our staff without justified cause, there will be a supplemental surcharge of € 40 from 21:00 h to 09:00 h.
Problems when the customer is responsible: On departure of the apartment, our maintenance team checks the state of the apartment and the equipment. In case of detecting damage caused by the customer, or items missing, we will contact you to inform you of the charges which will be applied to your credit card. The following charges may be applied:
- For improper use and/or misuse of any appliance or electronic equipment. Or if any appliance is found damaged and unusable. This charge will be estimated by BWH and supported by invoices.
- By the abuse of services (water, electricity, air conditioning). Up to 100 €.
- By staying in the apartment after 11:00am, without having requested a late check out, 50 €.
- The loss of keys of the apartment, leaving the keys inside the apartment hanging in the look door or leaving both set keys inside will have an extra charge to cover for the repair and/or the presence of a member of our team in your apartment.

10 - Legal Notice
Black and White Home S.L. is a company that complies fully with all legal requirements regarding the use of apartments for temporary accommodation. Our apartments are registered on the Special Register of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Black and White Home S.L. has constituted the Security Bond required by law.
Black and White Home S.L. holds legal documentation detailing its right to freely exploit those apartments that are described on this website, both those of which it is the legal owner and those which are the property of other owners.
